A highly respected criminal defense attorney and staunch supporter of the Georgia Innocence Project, Leeza Cherniak passed away in April 2007 at the young age of 43.
She is greatly missed by her family, her friends, and the Atlanta legal community as a whole.
Leeza's family has established a fund in her name that will help support a law student who serves as a summer intern at the Georgia Innocence Project. This scholarship will begin in 2008.
